The museum is situated on the ground floor of the XIII century Town Hall. Enter through a pointed-arched door to a barrel arch roofed corridor that opens into two connecting side rooms and the Registry of the ancient Court and see the famous albero d'oro (golden tree).

ENROLMENT CONDITIONS

Registration
Students under 18 need the written authorisation of their parents or tutor and should, before arrival, provide our office with a letter signed by a parent or tutor exonerating our school from all responsibility. To register, it is necessary to complete the registration form and post, fax or email it to our office together with the receipt for payment of the required deposit. The deposit is equal to 50% of the total price for the language course selected.

  • With the arrival of the deposit, our office will confirm your registration and communicate your accommodation address to you.
  • The balance of the total course fee has to be paid on the first day of the course.
  • The costs of the bank transfer and/or deposit expenses are for the student’s account.


Lessons
The lessons take place in the morning from Monday to Friday. There will be no lessons on Italian public holidays; they will be made up for on another date. There will be no lessons on exam days. If the number of registrations makes it necessary, lessons will be carried out in the afternoon as well. Courses will only be held with a minimum of 10 students. The school reserves the right not to carry out a course if the minimum number is not reached.

Cancellation
If the cancellation of a participation is communicated at least 30 days before the beginning of a course, the deposit will be reimbursed net of postal and banking charges. The cancellation must be sent by letter or telegram. If the cancellation is communicated less than 30 days before, the deposit will be withheld by the school. Once the course has started, no reimbursement will be granted, neither when a student misses some lessons, nor when he/she abandons a course. In cases of abandonment due to an act of God, it is possible to ask for a voucher, to be used within the next 12 months.

Visa for study reasons
Students coming from countries for which a visa for study reasons is required can receive a registration certificate to present to the responsible authorities. In this case the entire cost of the course, for which the certificate and an invoice will be issued, will have to be paid in advance. If the student does not obtain the visa, a written note has to be sent to the school, enclosing a document demonstrating the refusal by the authorities and all the original documents received from the school. In this case the school will reimburse the entire sum paid for the course and the deposit for accommodation net of postal and banking charges. After receipt of the certificate it is not possible to cancel or postpone the course dates without the restitution of the original registration certificate. Once a visa is obtained, no reimbursement will be granted because of a failure to attend a course. If there are serious reasons, it will be possible to ask for a voucher, transferable to another person and valid for 12 months from the date of issue. Shipping expenses for the certificate via courier or quick mail are for the student’s account. For those students who have received the certificate of our organisation for their visa request, any unauthorised absence from lessons (without informing our office) for longer than 2 days will be communicated to the responsible authorities.

Accommodation
If a student decides to change accommodation, he must give the school office at least two weeks advance notice, although rent must still continue to be paid for this period Any potential damages must be refunded immediately to the school office or directly to the owners of the apartment or hotel. In accommodation booked by the school, students will have to maintain a proper behaviour and must not disturb neighbours or their flat- or roommates. The reservation of accommodation is strictly personal and the presence of any guest must be communicated to the school office.

Insurance
Participants are not insured by the school against disease, accidents, loss or any other damage. We therefore advise all students to take out an assurance before leaving their country of origin.



In the case of any controversy or dispute the court of Arezzo will be the responsible authority.

If one or more of the above clauses is or becomes invalid, this will not affect the validity of the remaining clauses. The invalid clause is to be interpreted in the way that best achieves its intentions.
